Casa Lima

Casa Lima was founded in 1877 by Augusto Joaquim Pereira de Lima, in Rua do Souto. At the beginning of his activity, he was dedicated to the industry and trade of canes and parasols. In 1909, a second store appeared in Rua de Santa Catarina, no. 231. It is known that at this time were marketed several products such as: ties, suitcases, umbrellas, umbrellas and walking sticks. In 1918, the store of Rua de Sá da Bandeira, no. 83, opened its doors, right next to the well-known café: “A Brasileira”.

Due to the lack of space, in 1998, a new store was created with the aim of making a better display of items, especially travel items. This store is located at Rua Rodrigues de Sampaio, no. 186, right next to the City Hall of Porto. In October 2016, Casa Lima had to close one of its stores, located on the street of Sá da Bandeira 83, due to the construction of a new hotel. To compensate for this loss, a new store was opened on Rua Guilherme Costa Carvalho no. 29 in a building designed by the famous architect Viana de Lima.

In our 3 stores you can find more than 3000 different products: the small leather shop (banknote holder, coin holder, pen holder), lady wallets, man’s wallets, belts, suspenders, suitcases, travel bags and you can also find a wide variety of umbrellas with cables of various woods such as: java, malaca, tojo and others.

In the same family for five generations, Casa Lima continues to be an establishment of strong tradition and quality, which is characterized by personalized customer service, as well as by the strict criteria for choosing products.
